TuttoMercatoWeb claim PSG’s pursuit of Milan Skriniar is set to end in failure – and it could see PSG turn their attention to Arsenal defender Gabriel. PSG are desperate to sign a centre-back in the coming weeks.
Skriniar has long been linked with a move from Inter Milan to the Premier League – but now it could be PSG that get their hands on him. They have seen an initial £35million bid rejected, and ready to up it to £43.5million.

However, Inter are remaining stubborn. They will only sell the defender for an enormous £61million – something which will surely deter PSG. It means they are likely to lose out in the race for Skriniar.
The French champions, who recently appointed Luis Campos as sporting director, could turn their attention to Arsenal’s Gabriel or Villarreal’s Pau Torres. Campos was sporting director for the majority of Gabriel’s Lille stint.
PSG could turn attention to Arsenal defender Gabriel
Gabriel has been a mainstay for Arsenal ever since joining the club from Lille. He is just what PSG will be looking for and it is unsurprising that he might form a reunion with Campos, only this time at PSG.
Campos joined only a few months after Gabriel moved to Lille, and left in the same summer – just a few months before Lille sold Gabriel to Arsenal. Gabriel spent his three years at Lille under the watchful eye of Campos.
How much would a reunion cost? If PSG are willing to pay £43million for Skriniar, then they should be willing to do the same for Gabriel. Indeed, anything above £40million and Arsenal really have to consider it.
