Italian outlet CMW claim that PSG could end up re-signing Adrien Rabiot in a straight swap for Gini Wijnaldum this summer – amid reports that Rabiot is a target for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp this summer.
Rabiot, 27, joined Juventus on a free transfer in 2019. That is after 227 appearances for PSG, winning six Ligue 1 titles. He has since added another Serie A winner’s medal to his collection while in Turin, playing 129 times.
But now, Rabiot is in the final year of his contract at Juventus and is looking to go. Reports say Rabiot is open to joining a Champions League club in England, and another report says Liverpool are prepared to offer Naby Keita.

Rated at £15million, Rabiot could also return to PSG – but in a straight swap for Wijnaldum. The latter left Liverpool in 2021 for PSG but has struggled for consistent game time in his first season. Rabiot could be swapped for him.
PSG could swap Liverpool target Rabiot for Wijnaldum
PSG are likely to be in the market for a midfielder – with Leandro Paredes and Idrissa Gueye both likely to leave the club before the end of the window. Why not bring in a player that knows the club, and they also know well?
Wijnaldum could also end up leaving after a tricky first season and as he enters the last third of his professional career, he will want to be playing regularly. At PSG, the older he gets, he simply will not be doing that.
A move to the slower Serie A might suit Wijnaldum. It seems to be a move that makes sense, except for Liverpool who will miss out on Rabiot. The Reds could do with a bit more depth in the middle of the park this summer.
