Tottenham Hotspur could be offered an intriguing swap for Toby Alderweireld.

According to The Telegraph, Paris Saint-Germain could offer up defender Thomas Meunier in a move for Tottenham Hotspur centre back Toby Alderweireld.
Spurs activated a one-year option on Alderweireld’s contract in December, meaning that his contract now ends in 2020 rather than 2019.
The problems is that Alderweireld will have a £25million release clause that can be activated for a short period of time next summer, leaving Spurs vulnerable to losing him.
Now, The Telegraph report that Paris Saint-Germain are keen on Alderweireld, and may offer up an intriguing deal in advance of the summer to ensure they get him before anybody can activate the clause.
It’s stated that PSG and Spurs have good relations after Tottenham signed Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura in the last 18 months, and may offer up right back Meunier in a swap for Alderweireld.
Meunier, 27, has impressed for PSG since signing from Club Brugge in 2016, and his form was part of the reason why Aurier was sold to Spurs in the first place.

With Thilo Kehrer at the club and Dani Alves returning from injury, Meunier could be available, and that could give Spurs something to think about with Kieran Trippier failing to impress this season.
Intriguingly, Spurs did want Meunier after he starred at Euro 2016, with the defender confirming their interest to Telefoot having rejected them for PSG; almost three years on, he may end up in North London after all.
