Sacko spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Leeds United from Portuguese giants Sporting CP.

Portuguese daily Record has provided an update on Hadi Sacko’s future.

The winger joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Sporting last July, and played 38 times as the Whites narrowly missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs.

Leeds have an option to sign Sacko outright should they wish to, although the 23-year-old took to Twitter on Monday to claim he does not know if he will return to Elland Road next season.

And according to Record, Garry Monk’s side are unlikely to trigger a permanent deal for Sacko – who scored two goals and created four throughout his time in West Yorkshire.

Of course, that is not to say the Frenchman will not be rejoining Leeds – although perhaps not at the price that was initially agreed.

The Whites are almost certain to strengthen in wide areas this summer, with the temporary spells of Sacko, Modou Barrow and Alfonso Pedraza each coming to an end.

However, if they are to pursue a permanent deal for Sacko, the Whites could face competition with the Sporting player said to have “other proposals in the pipeline”.
