Everton and Celtic are among the clubs who have been linked with Newcastle United’s Premier League goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

Freddie Woodman has not been offered a new contract by Newcastle United as doubts over the goalkeeper’s future intensify, according to the Shields Gazette.
The 22-year-old is one of the brightest young shot-stoppers in English football but progress has been slow at St James’ Park with Rafa Benitez preferring to start the experienced Martin Dubravka between the sticks.
Woodman, who shot to fame as England won the U20 World Cup in 2017, has made just three appearances all season and all of those came in the FA Cup.
According to The Chronicle, a number of clubs are circling with Everton and Celtic among those taking an interest. And it seems that Woodman’s time on Tyneside could be coming to an end.

The Shields Gazette report that Woodman is out of contract in 2020 and he has not been offered a new deal since he rejected an extension last summer. The Croydon-born shot-stopper now wants to discover what Newcastle’s plans are for him with the youngster’s future up in the air.
Everton could do with a new goalkeeper to provide support for the under-fire Jordan Pickford while Celtic’s two back up options, Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries are in their late 30s.
