Sunderland have failed to win any of their first 10 matches under David Moyes’ stewardship.
According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, David Moyes is under no immediate pressure at Sunderland.
Reports this week (Daily Record) have suggested that Moyes could lose his job as Sunderland boss, if the Black Cats lose to Bournemouth at the weekend.
However, Sunderland have reportedly refuted those claims – and insist that Moyes is not yet in any danger of losing his job.
The Black Cats appointed Moyes as a long-term successor to Sam Allardyce, and although the Scot has made a poor start, Ellis Short wants to give him time to put things right.
Sunderland need to start collecting victories rapidly if they are to stay in the Premier League, though.
The Wearsiders have failed to win any of their first 10 games, and they are already seven points adrift of safety.
There are now great fears that Sunderland could finally drop out of the Premier League this season, after battling against relegation for a number of years, and another defeat against Bournemouth would be disastrous for the North East side’s survival chances.
