West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic was seemingly waving goodbye to the fans at the weekend, if reports prove to be correct.

Arnautovic’s future has been the subject of much speculation, and that speculation went into overdrive after he left the pitch during the Hammers’ 1-0 win against Arsenal by waving to the fans inside the London Stadium.
It was debated whether the gesture was the Austrian waving goodbye to the supporters. But based on the latest reports, it does appear that that is indeed what it will prove to be.

The report adds that Stoke are set to receive 20% of the fee having negotiated a clause in the deal that saw the forward head to West Ham in 2017.
While plenty of West Ham supporters are now ready to see the back of Arnautovic with his mind seemingly focused on a move away, it will be a blow for Pellegrini to lose the club’s talisman.
It is not going to be easy to replace their top goalscorer, especially during a January window, but the Hammers seemingly feel that it is now better to replace Arnautovic than keep him when he wants to leave.
