Leeds United are still on the hunt for a new manager, following Garry Monk’s departure from Elland Road last month.

According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Pep Clotet is keen to stay at Leeds United, despite Garry Monk’s departure.
Clotet joined as Monk’s assistant at Elland Road, and he has impressed during his first season with the Yorkshire club.

Indeed, Clotet is the favourite to land the Leeds manager’s job with the bookmakers, but the YEP states that the Spaniard is very unlikely to be placed in charge.
Leeds are not believed to be seriously considering Clotet to take control, with Andrea Radrizzani looking at other options.

Clotet’s current deal is due to expire in a matter of weeks, but he could still stay with Leeds.
If Leeds next manager does not want to bring his own backroom team with him, Clotet could continue in his role as assistant next term.
Leeds have now been without a manager for nearly two weeks, with Radrizzani taking time to asses his options.
