Premier League rivals Everton and Liverpool reportedly want to snap up Blackburn Rovers’ John Buckley, who could soon make his Championship debut.

Blackburn Rovers starlet John Buckley has graduated to training with the first-team and could be in line to make his senior debut before the end of the season, according to Lancashire Telegraph.
Whether he is still a Blackburn player by the time the 2019/20 season kicks off, however, is another matter altogether.
At the age of 19, Buckley has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in a crop of promising youngsters at Ewood Park, impressing for Blackburn’s U23 side this season.
But with just 12 years left on his contract, the vultures are circling. According to TEAMtalk, Everton and Liverpool are going head-to-head to lure Buckley to Merseyside.

Everton’s sporting director Marcel Brands has built a career upon finding rough diamonds like Buckley while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been responsible for the rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and co.
The Lancashire Telegraph adds, however, that Blackburn are in talks over extending Buckley’s contract and that will be a big relief to supporters who are desperate to see him rise through the ranks.
And they can expect to see the midfielder in action for the first time between now and May.
