Everton and West Ham United are both interested in signing Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Sunderland are yet to receive a bid for Jordan Pickford.
Everton and West Ham United have both shown an interest in the 23-year-old stopper, who has enjoyed a hugely impressive season.
However, neither of the Premier League pair have made a bid – and even if they do, there is no guarantees they will be successful in securing Pickford’s signature.
Initially it was expected that Pickford would leave Sunderland this summer, following their relegation to the Championship.
But there are now doubts over whether Pickford will leave, as Sunderland are desperate to keep hold of him.
Sunderland are said to be refusing to budge from their £30 million asking price for the goalkeeper.
Pickford has shown signs of his talent this past season, and there is great excitement around his future.
However, at £30 million, he would become the most expensive British goalkeeper ever if he was to move.
Whether Everton and West Ham will be prepared to meet that asking price, remains to be seen.
And it now seems that Pickford’s departure from Sunderland is not is inevitable as first feared.
