Newcastle United forward Salomon Rondon has missed much of the season so far with injury.

Newcastle signed Rondon over the summer, as Benitez looked to find a solution to his goalscoring problems from last term.
However, the target-man has been out injured for much of the season so far, and Newcastle have struggled in front of goal.
Benitez’s side’s problems were highlighted at the weekend, as they failed to beat Brighton.
Newcastle had over 20 shots in the contest, but failed to find the back of the net.

And the news of Rondon’s impending return will surely be greeted with great relief at Newcastle.
Rondon may not have been the most prolific scorer in English football, but he looks a far better option than any of Newcastle’s current forwards.
And the Magpies should carry a much greater threat with Rondon involved, when they take on Southampton on Saturday.
