According to 90min.com, the prospective new owners of Newcastle United are aware of Qatar Sports Investment’s interest in buying Leeds United.

QSI own French giants Paris Saint-Germain and want to purchase Championship club Leeds, according to the report.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund are aware of QSI’s ambition, and they do not want to be left behind, it has been claimed.

90min has added that the prospective new owners of Newcastle plan to buy Hannover, Dynamo Dresden, Saint-Etienne as well as a club in Major League Soccer.

Exciting times

Newcastle fans will be hoping that the takeover goes through soon so that the prospective new owners can start planing for the summer transfer window.

It remains to be seen how much clubs spend this summer amid the economic uncertainty caused by the global health crisis, but one suspects that the Magpies will make some moves to make a statement of intent.

The Premier League and the Championship in England are suspended at the moment due to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen when the season gets back underway.
