Leicester City prospect Dennis Gyamgi would be ‘delighted’ to sign for Arsenal this summer, according to TodoFichajes.

Funds are tight at the Emirates these days. As a result, a Gunners side who are set to miss out once again on the riches of Champions League football will be forced to box clever in the transfer market with promising young talents expected to be at the forefront of their plans.

Think more Gabriel Martinellis, less Nicolas Pepes, then.

And King Power starlet Gyamgi certainly has more in common with the former than the latter. The teenage Ghanaian is one of the most exciting defensive talents in the Premier League, although he is yet to force his way into Brendan Rodgers’ first-team plans at Leicester.

If reports are to be believed, the athletic, tough-tackling right-back in the Aaron Wan-Bissaka mould might never feature in a top-flight game for the Foxes.

It is claimed that Arsenal have contacted the teenager’s representatives, and it seems that their admiration is mutual. Gyamgi would jump at the chance to sign for the London giants, it seems.

An old-school full-back who is at his best when flying into crunching tackles, comparisons may be made with a young Ashley Cole, a terrific natural defender who honed his talents at Highbury before establishing himself as one of the best in the world.
