Fulham striker Aboubakar Kamara turned down an offer from Middlesbrough in favour of a move to Ligue 1 outfit Dijon, as reported by Le Bien Public.
While Neil Warnock did get his mitts on one Craven Cottage forward, landing Neeskens Kebano on loan until the end of the season, another of Scott Parker’s promotion-winning heroes slipped through Boro’s fingers.
Play-off dark horses Middlesbrough expressed an interest in the maverick Kamara late in the transfer window (Northern Echo).
But when Dijon made their move, the 25-year-old wasted little time in packing his bags and heading back to his native France.
Le Bien Public claims that Kamara turned down an offer from Middlesbrough, preferring to join a Dijon outfit stuck in the midst of a relegation battle and three points adrift of safety.
“He is a powerful, fast striker, with a real desire to help DFCO in its race to stay in Ligue 1,” president Olivier Delcourt told Dijon’s official website of the former Amiens and Monaco forward.

Kamara produced four goals and four assists as Fulham sealed promotion from the Championship last term.
But, then again, perhaps Middlesbrough have got the better of the deal with Kebano. The Dutchman is a more multi-faceted threat than his former Cottagers teammate and can win games on his own with those trademark, dead-eyed set-pieces.
