Report: Porto willing to take risk over reported Everton and West Ham target Hector Herrera

Porto do not wish to sell Hector Herrera this summer if they can help it.

Everton and West Ham will find it difficult to persuade Porto into selling Hector Herrera this summer unless they pay his release clause.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo report manager Sergio Conceicao has told the club he does not want any more exits being sanctioned for the remainder of the transfer window.

Already a glut of stars have left the Portuguese side, including Manchester United signing full-back Diego Dalot.

Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha linked both West Ham and Everton with a move for Herrera at the end of last week.

The Mexico international has been starring at the World Cup and speculation has been mounting over his future.

Herrera has only one year left on his contract and Porto are unwilling to cash in.

O Jogo report Lyon have had an offer of 20 million Euros rejected already this summer.

Porto are willing to gamble that no side will meet Herrera’s 40 million release clause (£35 million), considering he could go for free next summer.

If Everton or West Ham are especially swayed by his World Cup performances, they have an opportunity to call Porto’s bluff.
