West Ham United are reportedly still keen to sign Moussa Marega, though the Premier League club failed with a £26m bid last year.

Porto will sell star striker Moussa Marega this summer, according to A Bola, with the long-standing West Ham United target seemingly set to try his hand in the Premier League.

The Mali international has been linked with a move to England for about two years and with good reason. Marega has proven himself to be a prolific goalscorer during the last few seasons at the Estadio do Dragao, netting 21 times in 2018/19 after firing Porto to the Primeira Liga title 12 months earlier.

And, according to A Bola, West Ham could finally get their man this summer with the London Stadium apparently the most likely destination for the 28-year-old powerhouse.

It is almost certain that Porto will cash in this summer too, although the Champions League quarter-finalists will demand any interested party trigger his £34 million release clause. That would make Marega the second most expensive signing in West Ham’s history, behind Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson.

According to L’Equipe, West Ham failed with a £26 million bid for Marega last summer. But, with the club expected to sell Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic, Manuel Pellegrini should have plenty of funds to play with.
