Portuguese giants Porto are interested in a move for Liverpool youngster Joao Teixeira, reports A Bola.
The youngster is out of contract at Liverpool this summer and earlier this week the Liverpool Echo reported that he could be departing Anfield.
The Reds are keen to keep him though by all accounts, as his name was omitted from the Premier League’s released and retained list on Friday.
However, it appears they will face a fight to keep hold of him as Portuguese giants Porto have entered the race for his signature.

That reports comes from A Bola, who state that the club have been watching the Liverpool youngster as they believe he would make a good addition to the current squad.
They admit though that there will be fierce competition for his signature as there will be proposals from other European clubs this summer.
It would certainly not be surprising to see Teixeira leave Anfield, as at 23 he will need regular football sooner rather than later for the best of his career.
That may be hard to find at Liverpool, and a move to Portugal to resurrect his stuttering development may be tempting for him.
