Portuguese giants Porto are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to replace Iker Casillas and Burnley’s Joe Hart is a shock contender for the role.

Real Madrid and Spain legend Casillas suffered a shock heart attack almost three months ago and the issue has sadly forced him into retirement. Porto now need a replacement for the former Spanish World Cup winner and the report states that Hart has surprisingly been considered.
Hart is in a three-way battle with Tom Heaton and Nick Pope for the number one spot in Burnley’s net. However, Heaton and Pope are arguably ahead of him in Sean Dyche’s pecking order and this could see the former Manchester City number one move on.
The 32-year-old played 19 games for Burnley in the league last season and conceded a shocking 41 goals. The Daily Mail reported that Premier League newcomers Sheffield United were credited with an interest in Hart but a move there seems unlikely after Dean Henderson returned on another loan deal.

Hart is at the stage of his career were he cannot afford to sit on the bench anymore and a move away to Portugal to join Porto would potentially be the ideal step for him as he enters the twilight of his playing career.
With an increase in the number of English players moving abroad, Hart could potentially end up being the next one to make a shock move overseas.
