According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring Lyon defender Emanuel Mammana to White Hart Lane.
Spurs have arguably the best centre back partnership in the Premier League in Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, whilst teenager Cameron Carter-Vickers has been tipped for a bright future.

However, with Kevin Wimmer out of favour and telling Kleine Zeitung that he is now considering his future at White Hart Lane, Pochettino may be keen to bring in another centre back in January.
The Mirror report that former centre back Pochettino has set his sights on a fellow Argentinian, with Lyon’s Emanuel Mammana believed to be on Tottenham’s radar, despite only joining the French club back in July, when Spurs could have made a move.

Mammana, 20, came up through the ranks with River Plate, and despite making just 24 appearances for the Buenos Aires giants, he earned a move to Lyon over the summer.
The once-capped Argentina international has started just three games for Lyon – each of their last three league games – and his performances appear to have attracted the interest of Pochettino.

Pacy and capable of playing at right back too, Mammana appears to have great potential, and whilst Lyon would surely love to build their defence around him over the coming years, they may already face a battle keeping hold of their summer signing.
It’s claimed that Mammana has a £9m release clause in his Lyon contract, with clubs in Italy and Spain also watching him along with Tottenham.
