Tottenham’s Heung Min Son in action with Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez
Reports in Germany are suggesting that VfL Wolfsburg will come back in for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Heung-min Son in January.
It is reported by Wolfsburger Allgemeine that the Bundesliga side will be making a move to sign him again in the winter as he remains a long-term target of the club.

The report also claims that money was no issue over the transfer of Son. The deal to sign him was in fact vetoed by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino – who feels he still has a part to play at White Hart Lane.
Speaking to Sky Sports Germany on deadline day, as reported by SportBild, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs confirmed talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over a deal, but nothing could be put together:
“Sonny has been on our list for many years, but it just does not work.

“He would have liked to have come to us, but it was not to be.
“Daniel Levy and I spoke on the phone longer together in the last few days, but it has become clear that Tottenham would not give the player.”
Son had an indifferent first season at the club following his move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer and has been linked with an exit since the end of the season – in which he scored eight goals in 41 appearances for the North London club.
But he shone on international duty for South Korea this week and Tottenham fans will be hoping that is a sign of things to come from the forward.
