Spurs are keen on the prolific 20-year-old striker.
Tottenham Hotspur are looking to unearth a gem in South America in the form of young River Plate star Sebastian Driussi, according to a report from the Independent.
Mauricio Pochettino has a knack of finding and developing the top youth talent at a club, and it appears he has earmarked a young sensation in his home country of Argentina.
Driussi is a 20-year-old striker for River Plate who finished as top scorer in the first half of the season in Buenos Aires with 10 goals in 14 games.

The Argentina youth international made his River debut in 2013 as a teenager but has truly burst onto the scene in recent months and is thought to be attracting the attentions of top European clubs.
However, Spurs are hoping that Pochettino’s connection sin Argentina will allow them to steal a march on their rivals for Driussi’s signature.
Though River head coach Marcelo Gallardo wants to see Driussi offered a new long-term deal, the Independent’s report claims that club officials are willing to part with their young star as long as they receive an eight-digit transfer fee.

It is thought that any deal struck would have to include a clause allowing Driussi to remain on loan at River for the time being, as well as a hefty sell-on clause.
With Vincent Janssen’s first season in England prove less than successful, Spurs are always on the look-out for new attacking recruits and Driussi is showing signs of being a top-quality star of the future.
