Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is now willing to offer up Edouard Mendy in a deal for Tottenham Hotspur target Andre Onana.
Andre Onana is a prime target for Chelsea this summer and Mauricio Pochettino is keen to engineer a swap deal.
That is according to Foot Mercato, who claim that Pochettino is making a new goalkeeper an absolute priority this summer.
It’s stated that Onana is a top target and a swap deal with Inter Milan is now being proposed.
Chelsea want to offer up some cash plus Edouard Mendy in the hope of bringing down Inter’s asking price.
The report notes that Mendy has a new agent in Fali Ramadani, who is well-connected in the Italian market.
Claims that Pochettino wants to land Onana are interesting given recent reports that he wasn’t too sure.
The Daily Mail claimed that Onana isn’t the preferred goalkeeper for Pochettino this summer and he was looking elsewhere.
If that was true, Pochettino has come around to the idea of signing the Cameroonian ace with Chelsea now pushing.

Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on Andre Onana
Chelsea aren’t exactly the only Premier League club chasing Onana’s signature this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are also understood to be keen but now risk missing out with Chelsea chasing a deal.
London World reporter Rahman Osman claimed in May that Tottenham were actually showing more interest in Onana.
Spurs stopper Hugo Lloris looks set to leave the club this summer and Tottenham will be desperate to land a replacement.
Onana may fit the bill but Tottenham don’t have a manager or director of football right now.
That is hampering their transfer business and the delay in getting their house in order means Chelsea could win the race.
The sooner Tottenham get a manager and director of football in place, the better – and hopefully for their sake they don’t miss out on targets.
