Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott may be in line for some playing time next season.

According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed with Troy Parrott in training, and looks set to promote him next season.
Spurs have seen one star striker rise through the ranks in Harry Kane, and there have been high hopes that Parrott will follow suit.
The 17-year-old striker, who joined Spurs from Belvedere in 2017, having emerged as a promising young goalscorer in Ireland.
Parrott impressed this past season for Tottenham’s Under-18’s, notching 19 goals in 27 games, whilst also picking up five assists in a superb campaign.
When Kane went down with another ankle injury in January, many called for Parrott to be given a first-team chance, and whilst he was spotted in first-team training, that chance never came.

Now though, it’s believed that Pochettino has been impressed with Parrott in training, and is set to hand him a role around the first team next season.
This appears to be a wise move. Rather than throwing the teenager into Premier League action mid-season, giving him a full pre-season schedule alongside Tottenham’s star players will allow him to bed in.
That should give him more of a chance to succeed in the first team, and with fellow 17-year-old striker Kion Etete signed up, there appears to be a real path to first-team action for the young Irishman.
