The Tottenham Hotspur winger has struggled for game time since arriving in the summer.

According to this week’s print edition of France Football Magazine (later published online by Foot Mercato), Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino had no input into Georges-Kevin N’Koudou’s summer switch to White Hart Lane.

When you consider how long Spurs fought to get a deal over the line, it is surprising to think their manager had not even sanctioned the deal, yet that is the latest claim from the player’s homeland.

The report claims the deal was “between presidents” meaning that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was the man to ultimately push the player to the club.

When you consider the lack of impact the 22-year-old has made since his move to North London, it is not surprising to think the Spurs boss had not made him a priority, and France Football also suggests N’Koudou has played his last match this season.

Whether that means he will be sold in the summer remains to be seen. However given his erratic performances when he has got on the field – with only brief moments of quality – it may be best for all concerned.

So far N’Koudou has appeared just five times for Tottenham in the Premier League and only 13 times in all competitions – predominantly from the bench – and with every match counting between now and May he looks to have fallen by the wayside…at least for now.
