West Ham United are reportedly on the verge of landing Sion starlet Edimilson Fernandes.

According to The Guardian, West Ham United have agreed a £5.5m fee with Sion for their young playmaker Edimilson Fernandes, who will undergo a medical in London today.
The Hammers have added playmakers already this summer by snapping up the likes of Gokhan Tore and Sofiane Feghouli, but they prefer to play out wide, with manager Slaven Bilic seemingly preferring to land a natural No. 10.
Manuel Lanzini’s absence has left West Ham lacking some creativity, and a new attacking midfielder appears to be closing in on a move to the London Stadium ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.
The Guardian report that Sion starlet Edimilson Fernandes is heading for London to undergo a medical after West Ham agreed a fee of around £5.5m for his services.

Fernandes, 20, is the cousin of former Manchester City midfielder Gelson Fernandes and looks set to follow in his footsteps with a big move to the Premier League, as his move to West Ham is believed to be on the verge of completion.
A 6ft 3in attacking midfielder, Fernandes is a natural No. 10, and his performances in the Europa League for Sion last season caught the eye, with a host of clubs linked with his signature over the last year.
It’s West Ham who appear to have landed Fernandes though, and he’s expected to pen a four-year contract with the Hammers in the coming days once he as passed his medical.
Fernandes has hit two goals in 27 games for Sion after coming up through the ranks with the Swiss club, and looks to have a huge future ahead of him – and that future should be with West Ham as he closes in on a £5.5m move to the London Stadium.
