It has been reported that Griffiths will not be part of the Celtic squad for their pre-season friendly matches against Lyon, Nice and Paris Saint-Germain in France due to fitness issues.
The Scotland international striker did not travel with his Hoops’ teammates to their training camp in Loughborough, with Lennon not happy with the fitness level of the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player, according to the report.
It has been claimed that Lennon is ‘likely to step up his search for striking reinforcements should Griffiths fail to reach the required levels’.

Griffiths is an important player for Celtic, and the 29-year-old will play a big role for the Hoops next season.
The Scotland international is hugely experienced, and once the 29-year-old is back to the required fitness level, he will be looking to do his best for the Hoops in their quest to win the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row in 2020-21.
