Liverpool target Thiago’s asking price has been slashed by £9 million, according to Bild.
Bayern Munich went into the summer hoping to raise £36 million for the Spaniard, but would now settle if a bid of £27 million came in.
Whether that will tempt Liverpool into making a move now remains to be seen, but Bayern appear to be hoping for a sale.
Thiago seemingly has no desire to pen a new contract with the German side, which puts them under pressure to sell, if they are to raise funds.
Liverpool have previously been said to be willing to pay £18 million for the 29-year-old by Bild, but they will still have to up their bid if they are to meet Bayern’s valuation of their midfielder, even if his asking price has been reduced.

Thiago is actually keen on a move to Anfield according to Bleacher Report, but Jurgen Klopp has only been given a limited budget, which is making the potential transfer problematic.
If Thiago was brought to Liverpool he could increase the creative options available to Klopp’s side next season.
