Alexis Mac Allister will undergo a medical at Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool today, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Liverpool have booked a medical for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister today.
Romano has added that the Argentina international midfielder will sign a contract with Liverpool until June 2028.
The 24-year-old plans to put pen to paper on a deal on Wednesday, according to the journalist.

Romano wrote on Twitter (8:07am, June 6, 2023): “Understand Liverpool have booked a medical today for Alexis Mac Allister. #LFC
“The plan is advance on formal contracts stuff today, complete medical then sign contract on Wednesday.
“Deal until June 2028.
“Alexis wants move completed before travelling to join Argentina NT.”
Smart business
In our view, Liverpool are being smart in getting a deal for Alexis Mac Allister done so early.
It is very important for clubs to sign players early so that they can get a full pre-season.
And by getting a deal for the 2022 Qatar World Cup winner done this week, Liverpool are giving him enough time to get used to manager Jurgen Klopp’s system.
Mac Allister is a very dynamic midfielder who could make Liverpool better and more solid in the middle of the park.
The Argentine knows the Premier League inside out, and we believe that he would get into the Liverpool starting lineup straightaway.
