According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Marco Silvestri is now on Inter Milan’s wishlist, having done well for himself since departing Leeds.
It was Thomas Christiansen who sold the Italian glovesman in 2017, after he made 98 appearances for the Whites.
Silvestri ended up at Hellas Verona, where he has made 115 appearances on his way to becoming one of Serie A’s most solid glovesman.
As a result, Antonio Conte wants to bring him to the San Siro.
Now, that speaks volumes.
Inter Milan have just won their first Serie A title in 11 years, and as a result, are an even more attractive outfit for players to join than usual.
They could probably have their pick of most players in Italy at the moment, so it says a lot that they’re eyeing Silvestri to bolster their squad.

Did Leeds make a mistake?
In our view, no. The time was right for Silvestri to depart Yorkshire, and it’s not as if Leeds are missing the 30-year-old right now.
Marcelo Bielsa has Illan Meslier in his ranks, who is arguably the best young goalkeeper in Europe right now.

The 20-year-old Frenchman is absolutely excelling in the Premier League.
If he’s this good now, it’s frightening to think about how far Meslier will go in the game.
Fair play to Silvestri for rejuvenating his career, but Leeds won’t be having sleepless nights over Inter Milan trying to sign their unwanted goods.
