Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are reportedly about to miss out on Dwight McNeil to Frank Lampard’s Everton.

The Sun reported on July 24 that Newcastle are lining up a move for Burnley winger McNeil as an alternative to Leeds United star Jack Harrison.

Leeds want £35 million for English winger Harrison, but Newcastle are not willing to pay it.

The Magpies are reportedly considering a bid for McNeil and are willing to pay £15 million for the 22-year-old.

However, it seems that Newcastle will miss out on the signing of English youngster to Premier League rivals Everton.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that McNeil has passed a medical at Everton and has agreed personal terms with the Toffees.

Everton and Burnley have also come to an agreement over a transfer fee, according to Romano.

Newcastle United to miss out on Dwight McNeil to Everton

Dwight McNeil is one of the best young wingers in the Premier League, and he would be a very good signing for Everton.

The youngster has scored seven goals and created 31 big chances in 134 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

McNeil is only 22, and he is going to get better in the coming years.

Newcastle could be about to miss out on a gem in McNeil.
