Serge Aurier has agreed to leave Tottenham Hotspur and join AC Milan, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Aurier has apparently said that he would be willing to join Milan, but the Italian club now need to negotiate a deal with Tottenham for the right-back.

Milan may take some time in doing that, as they need to sell either Davide Calabria or Andrea Conti before being in position to strike.

Tottenham are unlikely to stand in Aurier’s way if they do receive a sizeable bid, although Jose Mourinho will surely want to secure the addition of a right-back before letting his only natural option in the position leave.

Tottenham have a real dearth of options at right-back currently at the club, with Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga the only real other players in Tottenham’s senior squad who can play in the role.

Aurier has proven to be unreliable defensively, despite improving under Mourinho, and could need upgrading if Tottenham are to push on.

Mourinho actually is thought to be a fan of Aurier though, with Le10 suggesting that he wants the Ivorian to stay in North London.

But it seems more and more likely that Aurier will move on now, especially now he has apparently agreed to his exit.
