Lautaro Martinez wants to join Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to Football.London.
What’s the story?
Football.London are reporting that Inter Milan striker Martinez is ‘keen’ on a move to Tottenham this summer.
Tottenham had agreed a fee in principle with Inter, but, with the Italian champions now on the verge of selling Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, that may not hold.
Martinez remains interested in a switch to Tottenham and join up with his Argentina international teammates Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero, although personal terms have not been agreed.

Tottenham Hotspur should persevere
Martinez is one of the best young strikers in the world and has been superb for Inter over the past two seasons.
The Argentina international scored 17 goals and gave six assists in Serie A last season, and found the back of the net 14 times and provided three assists in the league in 2019-20.
The 23-year-old also won the Copa America with Argentina this summer.

The youngster is so good that former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez wanted Barcelona to sign him.
Now at Atletico Madrid, Suarez said in March 2020, as quoted by Goal at the time: “Lautaro is very talented. He is a player who in his second year in Italy is playing at a great level.
“But the players do not make decisions; I have been saying for two years that it would be good to bring in a young striker so he can start adapting and learn for when I leave.”
Yes, Harry Kane is a top player who is in his prime, but Spurs head coach Nuno could do with another quality out-and-out striker.
