Adam Lallana will leave Liverpool this summer, although there is no chance his exit is sanctioned at the end of next month, the Daily Mail report.

Lallana’s deal at Liverpool actually expires on June 30th, but the Premier League season is due to continue beyond that point.

Klopp, therefore, will apparently do all he can to keep Lallana around until campaign actually finishes.

Klopp is said to greatly admire Lallana, and he still values him as an important part of Liverpool’s team.

The England international will not be handed new terms by Liverpool over the long-term though, which means that he is free to find a new club.

It seems that the 31-year-old is already close to making a move elsewhere too.

Leicester City are said to be ‘hot favourites’ to sign Lallana, despite interest from other parties.

Lallana has worked with Brendan Rodgers before at Liverpool, and it seems that the duo will now link up again at the King Power Stadium next term.

Lallana has only played a rotational role at Liverpool this term, but his departure may make Klopp keen to strengthen in midfield over the summer, as he won’t want to leave himself short of options in such a crucial position.
