Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are set to bring Fashion Sakala to Ibrox in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Record.
It has been reported that Rangers will offer a four-year contract to the 24-year-old forward, who is close to agreeing personal terms with the Gers.
The Zambia international wants to play for Rangers manager Gerrard and in the Champions League and has been convinced by the Scottish Premiership champions’ pitch, according to the report, which has added that an agreement is likely to be sorted soon.
Sakala is out of contract at KV Oostende this summer and will join Rangers on a free transfer, according to the report.
Praise from Jack Hendry
Jack Hendry is on loan at Oostende from Celtic at the moment, and the 25-year-old central defender raved about his teammate Sakala in The Scottish Sun in January 2021.
Hendry told The Scottish Sun about Sakala: “He’s very quick and scored another couple of goals for Oostende last weekend.
“He’s a player with real potential. He is not the finished product but he has definitely got the potential to kick on.”

Fashion Sakala Stats
According to WhoScored, Sakala has made 26 starts and two substitute appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists in the process.
The forward would be a good signing for Rangers and would give manager Gerrard another option in attack.
