According to The Daily Mail, Freddie Woodman is discussing a contract extension with Newcastle United and is likely to return to Swansea City on another loan deal.

Woodman is out of contract at Newcastle at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

It has been reported that the goalkeeper is in talks with the Magpies over a contract extension.

The report has added that the 23-year-old is likely to return to the Swans in the Championship on loan for next season once he has sorted his future with Newcastle.

Swansea City loan spell

Woodman spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Swansea, and the 23-year-old played an important role in the Swans reaching the Championship playoffs.

According to WhoScored, the former England Under-21 international played 43 times in the Championship for the Welsh club this past season.

A return to the Liberty Stadium for next season would make sense for the 23-year-old, as he would get to play regular first-team football.

Meanwhile, The Chronicle has reported that DeAndre Yedlin’s representatives hope to get some clarity from Newcastle on the 27-year-old right-back’s future in the coming days.
