Tottenham Hotspur are set to complete their third signing of the summer, with Manor Solomon having a medical ahead of joining the North London club on a free transfer.

According to Sky Sports, the Israel international, who spent last season on loan at Fulham,, is set to become Ange Postecoglou’s third signing of the summer at Tottenham.

This is following the £40 million arrival of James Maddison from Leicester City earlier this summer and the £17 million arrival of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli.

The winger will sign a five-year contract with the Lilywhites. The 23-year-old spent last season in West London under Marco Silva and showed glimpses of his high potential in the Premier League.

With four goals to his name in 19 appearances for Fulham, Solomon arrives with bags of potential.

With Postecoglou at the helm for Spurs, the hope will be for Daniel Levy and for the Tottenham support that Solomon can come in and provide something different.

Heung Min-Son had a poor season for Spurs under Antonio Conte last summer, so the Israeli would provide a different option for the new Tottenham boss Postecoglou.

What does the 23-year-old offer Spurs?

Well, quite simply, the winger has bags of potential and is a very old-school winger.

According to FBREF, Solomon has one of the best take-on success rates in Europe’s top five leagues (2.99 successful take-ons per 90). So, simply put the former Shakhtar man loves to take on his man one vs one.

He could be an invaluable option for Spurs, who don’t really have a lot of, if any, wingers who like to take on their man.

Richarlison and Son are wingers/forward who like to invert and take shots on, which is shown in their low take-on success rate (0.98 & 1.03 per 90).

Solomon, on a free transfer, could turn out to be a superb signing for Tottenham.
