Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has told the Ibrox club that he wants to leave, according to The Scottish Sun.

Morelos, who was left out of Rangers’ squad for the Scottish Premiership game against Kilmarnock at the weekend, has told the Ibrox chiefs that he wants to leave, with French club Lille ‘closely monitoring’ development over the weekend, according to the report.

The report has added that Rangers are now ready to selling the Colombia international and are keen to re-open talks with Lille, who have had four bids turned down for the 24-year-old striker.

Sensible stance?

If Morelos does not want to stay at Rangers, then perhaps the Gers should cash in on him, especially with Lille reportedly interested in him.

The Colombian is a very good striker, but there is no point in the Ibrox club keeping a player who does not want to be there.

However, Rangers should not sell Morelos on the cheap and have to make sure that they get a sizeable transfer fee for him.

With Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten having been signed this summer and Jermain Defoe already at Ibrox, Rangers may not miss Morelos.
