Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Douglas Luiz has told Aston Villa to sell him to Arsenal on the final day of the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Luiz wants to leave Villa and move to Arsenal on summer transfer deadline day.
The Brazil international midfielder has asked the Villans to facilitate a move to the Gunners now.
The Telegraph have reported that Arsenal have had two bids for Luiz already tuned down by Villa today.
The Gunners made an opening offer of £20 million for the 24-year-old.
Villa turned it down.
Arsenal then offered £23 million.
The Villans rejected it as well.
According to The Independent, Villa want £40 million from Arsenal for a transfer of Luiz to happen.
The 24-year-old is out of contract at the Villans at the end of the season.

Douglas Luiz wants to leave Aston Villa for Arsenal
Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Arsenal could find it tough to get a deal for Aston Villa defensive midfielder Douglas Luiz done before the summer transfer window closes tonight.
There is not much time left.
Arsenal will have to convince Villa to sell the Brazilian for a price they think is fair.
Then they have to get a medical sorted for Luiz.
If Villa do not reduce their asking price of £40 million for Luiz, then it is unlikely that Arsenal will get a deal done tonight.
