West Ham United’s reported quest to bring Florian Thauvin to London Stadium this summer is set to end in disappointment.
According to a report from L’Equipe (print edition, May 7th, 2021, page 12), West Ham are interested in signing Thauvin in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Hammers have made an offer to the 28-year-old France international winger.
The former Newcastle United winger will become a free agent this summer.
Thauvin has revived his career at Marseille after struggling to make an impact in English football during his time at Newcastle.
The 28-year-old is at his peak, and one can understand why West Ham reportedly want to sign him this summer.
Thauvin has experience of European football and will also be a free signing. The Hammers could end up in the Premier League top four and play in the Champions League next season.

However, it seems that West Ham will end up disappointed in their quest to sign the French winger.
L’Equipe has reported this afternoon that Thauvin has decided to join Mexican club Tigres UANL.
The former Newcastle man will move to the Mexican club on a five-year contract, according to the report.
