Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly miss out on the signing of Vitor Roque to Barcelona.
According to 90min, Barcelona are on the verge of signing Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The report has claimed that Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Bayern Munich all made contact with Athletico in an effort to convince them to sell Roque and not to Barcelona.
However, according to the report, “Roque has long decided that he wants to join Barcelona” and the La Liga champions are now ready to announce the signing of the 18-year-old Brazil international forward.
Roque’s agent has also said that the forward has picked Barcelona in the end.
Vitor Roque miss no big deal for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur
In our view, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur should not be too fussed that they will not be able to sign Vitor Roque ahead of Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the Brazilian is a very good and promising young forward, but he is only 18.

Roque is a player for the future.
90min have reported that the youngster will not join Barcelona until January 2024.
We do not think that Arsenal and Tottenham should invest too much money in players who will not be able to make an immediate impact in the first team.
