
Tottenham have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Vinicius on loan in the summer transfer window, according to the report.
It has been further claimed that the agreement includes an option for Spurs to make the deal for the 25-year-old striker permanent next summer for £36 million.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Tottenham’s application for the Brazilian has been successful.
Benfica spell
Vinicius has been on the books of Benfica since the summer of 2019 when he joined from Italian club Napoli for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £15 million.
According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old made 19 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Portuguese league last season, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists in the process.
The striker also scored one goal in five Champions League matches and played 32 minutes in the Europa League, according to WhoScored.
Vinicius will provide support for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who will remain the number one player upfront for the North London club.
