Fulham chiefs are said to be ‘furious’ with Tottenham Hotspur linked Scott Parker by the Athletic, after their relegation.
Parker said following Fulham’s relegation that he hadn’t spoken with ownership about his future.
However, Fulham’s board apparently have now spoken to the 40-year-old and their reasoning behind not speaking to Parker sooner is because they were so frustrated with the manner of their relegation.
The report plunges Parker’s future into further doubt amid links with the Tottenham job.
The Daily Mail say that Parker is a manager under consideration by Daniel Levy to be Tottenham’s next boss.
Spurs are still searching for Jose Mourinho’s replacement, with their hunt for a new boss now taking weeks.
Parker’s appointment would likely divide opinions at Tottenham.
While the rookie manager has earned credit for Fulham’s style of play, the Cottagers were relegated this season.
And for Tottenham to grab a manager so soon after his side dropped into the Championship may not be the best look for the North London club.
