Pierre-Michel Lasogga is concerned about playing time if he moves to Leeds United.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga is reportedly concerned over a lack of playing time if he signs with Leeds United.

The Hamburg Morning Post report Lasogga is getting cold feet about a potential loan move to the Yorkshire side.

The 25-year-old striker is claimed to be worried about being stuck playing second fiddle to Chris Wood, last season’s Championship top scorer.

Leeds have insisted Wood is not for sale despite interest from Premier League side Burnley.

Lasogga reportedly needs convincing that the Leeds move is right for him, and assured he will not be used in a bit part role.

Unfortunately despite playing in Germany’s top flight, his poor goalscoring record last season does not give him much bargaining power, considering he netted just two times last season.

The Hamburger Abendblatt reported yesterday there was also an issue still to be settled with regards to how much of his wages Leeds would pay during the loan deal.

Lasogga has talent if Leeds can tap into it, but he is a similar striker in style to Chris Wood.

Back-up striker Caleb Ekuban did not even make it off the bench in Leeds’ 0-0 draw with Fulham in midweek.

It is easy to understand why Lasogga has concerns about whether Leeds is the right move, and Thomas Christiansen may have some convincing to do.
