According to the Daily Echo, Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has now rejected approaches from European sides.
It’s claimed that the Saints have already accepted an offer from Everton, but three European clubs are now in the race too.
All three had submitted offers in the region of Southampton’s £25million asking price, thought the identity of the clubs hasn’t been revealed.
Remarkably though, Hojbjerg has snubbed all three clubs, just as he did with Everton – because he’s set on joining Tottenham Hotspur.
Hojbjerg is allegedly willing to be patient so that he can get his move to Spurs, and will seemingly resist offers from elsewhere.
Tottenham have only offered £15million so far though, and Southampton don’t want full back Kyle Walker-Peters – who they value at £15million themselves – to be included.

That leaves the ball in Tottenham’s court. Hojbjerg clearly wants the move to Spurs, but Daniel Levy needs to come up with the cash to secure his signature.
The 24-year-old is out of contract in 2021, so Southampton are open to selling now. Jose Mourinho wants Hojbjerg as his new holding midfielder, so a move does make sense – but it’s now all on Spurs to come up with the offer.
