The new Tricky Trees boss is wasting no time, it seems.
Bastia’s Ayite
New Nottingham Forest boss Philippe Montanier is pushing to sign Bastia winger Floyd Ayite, according to L’Equipe (as reported by Get French Football News).
Ayite scored seven goals and made another three in Ligue 1 last season, but could be sold this summer with only a year to run on his contract in Corsica.
The report claims the Togo international could be available for €2 million (£1.6 million).

Forest currently find themselves short of wide options, with Chris Burke released and Ryan Mendes’ loan deal coming to an end.
Though Jamie Paterson has returned from a spell at Huddersfield Town, the 24-year-old is wanted back at the John Smith’s Stadium according to the Examiner.

And the arrival of Ayite could accelerate Paterson’s departure.
Frenchman Montanier, who was appointed as Forest’s first non-British or Irish boss on Monday, will be familiar with the 27-year-old from his time in Ligue 1, where he managed both Valenciennes and Rennes, and at Ligue 2 outfit Boulogne.
Having began his career at Bordeaux, Ayite spent time on loan to both Angers and Nancy before moving permanently to Bastia via Reims.
