According to Goal, Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been offered to both Arsenal and Newcastle United – but neither side have responded yet.
Barca are desperate to raise funds to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, and Coutinho is one player likely to go.
The Catalan giants are willing to sanction another loan move, as they’re realising that finding a team to purchase him nor take on his full wages, just two-and-a-half years since paying
Barca allegedly feel that a Premier League return is the best thing for Coutinho, and have contacted Arsenal and Newcastle to see if they’ll take him.
Neither club has actually responded yet though, as they are both mulling over the terms of a deal in terms of how it meshes with their finances.
Newcastle would surely be in a strong position to sign Coutinho if their takeover finally goes through, but that situation means an immediate answer is unlikely.

Mikel Arteta would no doubt love to have Coutinho at Arsenal, and the Gunners have a close relationship with Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian, which could help a deal go through.
For now though, neither club is in a position to commit to a big-money move, mean Barca and Coutinho face a wait to find out if he will return to the Premier League.
