Leeds United’s transfer plans have not changed, despite their heavy defeat to Crawley Town in the FA Cup, the Athletic says.

Marcelo Bielsa gave a number of Leeds’ fringe players an opportunity to impress at the weekend, but they failed to take it.

The Whites were beaten 3-0 by Crawley, with very few Leeds players walking off the pitch deserving any credit.

The result could have caused some sides to panic that they may not have the depth required to last a full season in the Premier League.

However, Leeds are said to be remaining calm, with Bielsa seemingly putting trust in his side, despite the disappointing result.

Leeds, therefore, are anticipating a quiet January with no ‘significant’ arrivals expected.

Leeds may dip into the market to continue to strengthen their impressive under-23 set-up, but first-team additions are not predicted.

That may be down to the fact that Leeds have begun their first campaign back in the top flight very well.

Bielsa’s side currently sit in 12th place in the Premier League table, having collected 23 points from their first 17 games.
