Leeds United defender Diego Llorente is facing another ‘few weeks’ on the sidelines, Phil Hay has reported in the Athletic.
Llorente had to go off during Leeds’ game against Newcastle United, after appearing to be suffering with a hamstring issue.
The Spaniard has suffered constant injury issues ever since signing for Leeds.
And Hay has now confirmed that the centre-back’s issue looks set to keep him on the sidelines for a significant period of time.
Llorente’s absence comes as a blow to Leeds, as they simply cannot seem to get the summer signing fit.

Llorente had trained perfectly fine in the build-up to the game, but could not even make it through the first 10 minutes last night.
His absence meant that Pascal Struijk had to be introduced, with the youngster slotting in at central defence.
Leeds did still manage to hold out and win yesterday evening, even without Llorente, as goals from Raphinha and Jack Harrison provided them with a 2-1 victory.
