Liverpool have reportedly taken Perr Schuurs on trial.
According to Dutch newspaper Voetbal International, Fortuna Sittard teenager Perr Schuurs has joined Liverpool on trial – but Tottenham Hotspur are also interested.
The Reds secured a Champions League place this afternoon with a thumping 3-0 home win over already-relegated Middlesbrough, thanks to goals from Georginio Wijnaldum, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.
Now, manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to bring in some considerable reinforcements this summer to aid his Champions League campaign next season, though the club’s latest target shows a view for the future.
Dutch newspaper Voetbal International report that Fortuna Sittard teenager Perr Schuurs has arrived for a trial spell with Liverpool, as the Reds seemingly weigh up whether to make a summer move for the Dutchman.

However, it’s stated that Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on Schuurs, whilst RB Leipzig and PSV Eindhoven have also registered an interest in his signature.
Schuurs, 17, has come up through the ranks with Fortuna having been born in nearby Nieuwstadt, and he has made 24 appearances this season, notching two goals and two assists in a promising campaign.

Primarily a centre back also capable of playing in defensive midfield, Schuurs stands at 6ft 3in tall, and has been tipped for a bright future in the Netherlands, with Liverpool now moving to beat Tottenham to his signature.
With two years left on his Fortuna deal, Liverpool will have to negotiate a deal should he impress on trial, but Fortuna lie in the second division of Dutch football, and the Reds should be confident of striking an agreement if he impresses Klopp – but may have to do it quickly given Tottenham’s interest.
