Jordan Lukaku, brother of Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku, will reportedly join Newcastle United on loan from Lazio in the January transfer window.

According to France Football, Newcastle United will have to pay Lazio a transfer fee of €22 million (£19m) in the summer of 2019 in order to sign Jordan Lukaku on a permanent contract.

It has been reported that Lukaku, who is the brother of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, will join Newcastle on loan from Lazio in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Magpies will have an option to secure the services of the 24-year-old left-back on a permanent contract in the summer of 2019 for €22m (£19m).

According to France Football, Lukaku did not train with his Lazio teammates on Thursday and is expected soon in England for his medical.

Lukaku has been on the books of Lazio since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Oostende.

According to WhoScored, the left-back made eight starts and eight substitute appearances in Serie A for Lazio during the 2016-17 campaign.

The left-back started 10 games and made 20 substitute appearances in the league for Lazio last season, while so far this term, he has played just 170 minutes in Serie A, according to WhoScored.
